KEY ISSUES

Education
It is critical for me to continue my work in education to remove North Carolina from 49th in per pupil spending.  I want to ensure that all students have equal access to education.  No investment pays a better return than education!  I believe in and have fought for improved access to good education from pre-kindergarten through college, as well as job training programs that provide workers with the skills they need in order to compete in the 21st century economy.

Jobs with a Living Wage
It is critical that the citizens of North Carolina be able to work and provide basic needs for their family.  Creating good jobs for the middle class and bringing new industries to our State continues to be a priority for me and my administration.

Healthcare
I want to ensure that North Carolinians have access to basic healthcare as a right.  In order to strengthen the middle class and improve our economy—a healthy and educated population is a key ingredient. Reforming our health care system will improve our economy and allow small businesses to grow and create more jobs.

Women’s Rights

I want to ensure that women have equal access to healthcare, jobs and education opportunities.

CLEAR VISION and EXPERIENCE THAT COUNTS!
